Back to School!

Grade 3...
Remember the days when the biggest worries of the day were making sure you got to stand in the front of the line if you were the special helper of the day? Seems like a life time ago, but when I walk down the halls with my child now, that familiar spell of the school makes it feel like it was just yesterday! I was one of those kids who loved organizing school supplies over and over again before school started but after the first week, strategic organization was a thing of the past!

I was lucky enough to be able to take my daughter Ryenne to schook this morning.
She immediatly ran to find the friends that she had missed over the summer and once they were found, they compared closely how much the other had grown or how many teeth the other had lost! I remember on her first day of school when her eyes were full of tears and she had to come out of the school for just ONE MORE KISS MOMMY!

They grow so fast!

Day 1

Today is my first official day of avoiding Tim Hortons in the morning. I clarify... in the morning!

This is not to say that I WON'T every go back, this is just to break my daily addiction to the drive through every morning! Tim Hortons has raised their prices once again by almost 10 cents per coffee to stay in the game with its "competitors"...but as it was pointed out by a fellow Tim's addict, it's not exactly a starbucks coffee is it? The coffee isn't ground on site, it's delivered pre-ground in pouches! It's more of a "coffee drink" as she put it! You can't buy a latte, or even a real cappuccino at Tim's!

So, to this I say... for what it's worth, it's time for real quality coffee! Although it is a little more time consuming in my already rushed morning, I can save myself a little cash every week by brewing fresh coffee at home or making real Italian espresso on my stove top.
Today is day one of a nearly 9 year love affair with Tim! It's won't be easy... it won't be pretty... but I will try my best!

Saved to date: $1.57 (before taxes!)

A few of my Favorite Things!

Just a few things that make me smile!

Ryenne... she's just so silly!

The smell of cigars... Not sure why I like this, but it gives me a sence of comfort like a warm fuzzy sweater!

I cannot live without caffine! This is a double favorite! My new San Francisco mug AND the home made latte made with my new (and favorite) stove top espresso maker that I purchased this weekend for only $12.00. Saving money is high on my list of favorite things as well!

$35 Million Week in Monterey!

Working late nights, rising early in the mornings, extreme foot blisters and frequent coffee runs to Pino's cafe is just part of the fun during a successful week at RM's Sports & Classics of Monterey Auction!
When the event crew starts packing up the auction block, the RM Staff heads over to Pebble Beach to celebrate the award winning work done by our restoration shop right here in Blenheim, Ontario. Awards were handed out by Jay Leno, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ed Herrmann who put on quite a comedy act for the thousands of attendees!
There isn't much time to sneak away from all of the events in Monterey, but I did manage to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. As you can see, my favorite part of it was the Jellies! You have to see them for your own eyes to really appreciate the delicate complexity of these creatures!
